Team tasks
Assign cleaning, grooming, check-in prep, and vet runs to your team with priorities, due times, and push alerts when they're done.
Two views for two audiences
Owners and managers open /dashboard/tasks to see the whole facility at once — every open, in-progress, completed, and cancelled task, filterable by priority, status, and assignee. Caretakers open /caretaker/tasks to a simplified view: a pool of unassigned tasks they can claim, and a list of tasks already assigned to them. Anyone at the facility can pick up a task from the pool — no manager ping needed.
Priorities, due times, and templates
Each task has a priority (urgent, high, normal, low) and an optional due time. One-tap templates cover the common work — kennel clean, deep clean, bedding swap, grooming, nail trim, vet visit, prep check-in, prep check-out, restock, verify vaccination, brush coat — each with a sensible default due time (in 30 minutes, in 2 hours, today 6pm IST, or tomorrow 9am IST). Routine care like meals, medications, and walks stays in care logs, not tasks, so the two systems don't blur together.
Linking a task to a dog or booking
A task can be attached to a specific dog or stay — grooming a particular dog, prepping for tomorrow's check-out, verifying a vaccination before Saturday. The link flows through into the caretaker view, so whoever claims the task sees the dog's photo and special instructions inline. Every link is checked against the facility at save time, so a task from one facility can never reference a dog or booking from another.
Completing and reopening
When a caretaker finishes a task, they tap Complete and optionally leave a note ("kibble order placed, ETA Thursday"). The task moves into the completed list with who did it and when. If something was missed, an owner or manager can reopen a completed task — it returns to the open list, but the original completion record stays attached so the audit trail survives the reopen.
Push notifications to the team
Owners and managers can subscribe to web push notifications from the dashboard — once enabled, they get a notification the moment any caretaker marks a task complete, with a deep link straight to the task. No polling, no email spam. Subscriptions are per-device and can be turned off from the browser at any time.
